Most Dominate Athlete Ever?

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLKXvGE6kN8 - 16th hole at the Masters in 2005

Espn is questioning if Tiger Woods is the most dominating athlete ever to do what he/she does. Micheal Wilbon, an Espn host, said that he is knee deep in that category, but not quite there, then again he does have a long ways to go while Tiger is only 31, and in golf that is just your prime age. Tiger Woods has won 8 of his 9 World Championship Events and finished tied for 2nd in the only won he didn't win. He also has won 4 straight PGA Tour events and 6 of the last 7 while winning 5 straight official tournaments around the world. The game's #1 player continued his domination in record fashion, defeating Stewert Cink 8 and 7 in the 36-hole final at the Gallery Golf Club. It was his 15th victory in 26 World Golf Championship tournaments, an incredible success rate when you consider the fields typically are filled with no less then the top 50 players in the world rankings. Espn could go on and on about Tiger's successes, and he is still got alot of golf left in his life and I do believe when he is done he will have shattered alot of the records that have been set. At this pace that Tiger is at no one will compete with his records or success. You look at Micheal Jordan who is the "greatest basketball player to ever play the game" and you look at Muhammad Ali who also is the best boxer ever to box. Now you look at Tiger Woods and with the pace he is at he will soon be known has the best golfer to ever play the game.

Kelvin Sampson's Mistake

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=gXgbCtOEzGQ - Indiana President's Statement
Kelvin Sampson is the former head coach of Indiana University. He was the coach until earlier this year NCAA officials found out about his extra phone calls used in recruiting. NCAA only allows so many calls during recuiting and Kelvin Sampson over did it. The problem with this is that this is not his first time being caught. He got in the same type of trouble at Oklahoma and that is the reason he got fired from over there and now he did it again and got fired here. Kelvin told ESPN he did not do it this time, but ESPN pretty much told him it is almost impossible to believe that considering this is his second offense for the samething. Indiana University after finding this out offered Kelvin Sampson a $750,000 buyout and Kelvin Sampson accepted, Dan Dakich then took over as interim head coach. ESPN said the other day that is sad that he did that because he had a great team while sitting tied for the Big Ten lead with Purdue and Wisconsin. He had his team well on there way to a tournament bid with good potential and possibly a Big Ten championship. They said he ruined a great thing and I agree considering his team was young and had potential to be good for not just this year or the next, but for years to come. Kelvin Sampson really messed up and he is paying for it now, while he is looking for a new job it not only is going to be had after messing up like this, but he is not going to be handed a team with the potential he lost, he will have to rebuild and create that team all over again, that is when and with whoever he gets signed.

Huge 3-way trade

A major trade occured one minute before the trade deadline on Thursday, Feb. 21. This trade involved 3 teams and 11 players. The 3 teams included Cleveland, Chicago, and Seattle. Cleveland aquired Ben Wallace, Wally Szczerbiak, Joe Smith, Delonte West, and Chicago's second round pick in 2009. Chicago aquired Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons, and Shannon Brown. Sonics ended up recieving Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall, and Adrian Griffin. This trade was huge because it was very last second and a huge surprise because no one was expecting something this large to occur. ESPN and all the sports writers are really surprised that the Sonics even went in on this trade, because they came out with less talent then what they traded away. This trade made absoultely no sense for the Sonics to even go in on. ESPN says that Cleveland came out on top of this trade even after trading away two great players in Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden, they recieved Ben Wallace, who they say has been one of the most disappointing pick-ups all year. The Bulls got him this past post season and he has struggled all year trying to get something going. ESPN still believes that Cleveland came out the best in this trade and Chicago came out all right getting Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden and Seattle just should have never even got involved because they were all ready one of the worst teams in the NBA and now they just got worse. I personally would have to agree with most of this because it is true now Lebron James in Cleveland has a little more outside shooting and a big man in Ben Wallace to work with and I believe if anyone got better in this trade it was Cleveland and I also believe Seattle Sonics are the ones who just got worse.

The Shaq Trade

The media when this trade went through erupted, they were in shock. Everyone did not believe that the Suns would trade away a young and great Shaun Marion and a great young guy in Marcus Banks to get the 35 year old struggling Shaq. The media went through and interviewed some of the teammates of both teams. This trade was the top story for a few days, but now it really has died. When it first went through, all ESPN shows and sports shows all had breaking news scrolling across the bottom of the screens if they were not already talking about it. I think it is funny on how fast the media reacts and throws out opinions and what not when it comes down to a 14 time all- star in the NBA who gets traded. If it was a young guy who hasn't made it to the top yet, the media would not even made such a big deal, but it is Shaq, you know so they have to all freak out and make a huge deal out of it.

Bob Knight's Resignation

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NvRO2GE4x4M- Bob Knight throws a chair
http://youtube.com/watch?v=50LsvwmgJ7I - press confrence

Bob Knight is one of the best coaches to ever coach the game. He was so fun and exciting to watch. He always would do something in the game that was unheard of, for example after a technical foul he threw a chair across the gym floor. Bob was just a very emontional guy. He never took crap from anyone, no matter who it was.
When Bob Knight resigned the other day everyone was surprised and I just don't understand why. The man coached over 1200 games and won 900+ the man is wore out. I am sure he would win alot more games if he stayed, but I can understand him leaving. People don't know how much stress that is on someone. I am sure he wants to retire and just spend some time with his family now. Bob Knight was nothing short of amazing on the sideline general of any team. People need to just realize that he was just all wore out from coaching basketball. The media just needs to let it go, the man is finished and if he completely retires or comes back to coach soon then so be it, but as of now the man is done, so let it go. I would want to be left alone if I were in his situation, so I am sure he feels the same way.

I would bring along T-Pain's Epiphany cd because it is one of my favorite albums. T-Pain type of music is just fun to listen to when you are just chilling. You can be happy, sad, you name it and T-Pain's music is perfect. I would bring this cd for when I am trying to get away from all the stress and just sitting out by the water on the beach having a couple nice cold drinks. I would just turn on alittle T-Pain and relax.
